Students of the Faculty of Economics were told about the benefits of the program "3+1 UzhNU - Fresenius"
Uzhhorod National University is an active participant in the European educational and scientific environment, which actively engages students in international cooperation and internships abroad. A new stage in the development of this direction is the introduction of a double diploma program for students of the Faculty of Economics in cooperation with the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Munich. Thus, on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, the Vice-rector of UzhNu for Academic Policy, Research and International Relations Myroslava Lendel, the head of the Department of International Relations Oksana Svezhentseva and a leading specialist of the Department of International Relations, Oryslava Pantio visited the Faculty of Economics of UzhNU to tell the students about the opportunities offered by the international academic program ”3+1 UzhNU – Fresenius”.
Vice-Rector for Academic Policy and Research Myroslava Lendel told students about the features of the program, that allowed them to study in parallel at two universities, and noted that such programs offered great opportunities for graduates. "Uzhhorod National University offers a lot of academic mobility programs. It means that a student has the opportunity to study in a national and a foreign university simultaneously for a semester, one or two years. We understand that for further successful employment it is necessary to gain not only high-quality knowledge but also experience and students with a valuable European experience are more competitive in the labor market. UzhNU provides its students with the opportunity to choose various academic mobility programs, such as, for example, "Erasmus+". Its benefits are that students study abroad for a semester and their exam scores are recognized by their local university when they come back.
There is also a higher level mobility program – a program of parallel diplomas. At the moment, our university is working on the implementation of such programs at each faculty. Owing to the joint work of the university administration, the dean's office and the, in particular, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics Vitaliy Serzhanov and German universities, the "3+1" program was developed. It envisages three years of study at Uzhhorod National University and one year at Fresenius University. As a result, students get two diplomas – one from UzhNU and another one from the university in the EU." said the Vice-rector Myroslava Lendel.
The leading specialist of the Department of International Relations, Oryslava Pantio noted that Fresenius University was accredited by the German Council of Science, guaranteeing the provision of high-quality educational services in accordance with the European standards.
