Cooperation between UzhNU and Ignatianum Academy in Krakow
On March 26, 2018, representatives of Ignatianum Academy in Krakow (the Republic of Poland) visited Uzhhorod National University, namely the Faculty of History and International Relations. As part of their visit to UzhNU, the Polish delegation consisting of the acting dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Artur Volek and a lecturer of the Institute of Political and Administrative Sciences Michal Warzonek had a meeting with students and the faculty, and a working meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of History and International Relations Doctor of Historical Science, Prof. Ivan Vovkanych.The delegation of UzhNU consisted of Associate Professor of the Department of International Studies and Public Communications Hanna Melehanych, Associate Professor of the Department of International Studies and Public Communications, Mykhaylo Shelemba and a lecturer of the department Olesia Benchak.
This meeting launched cooperation of Uzhhorod National University and the Jesuit University Ignatianum. Representatives of the faculties discussed student exchange opportunities, in particular for the students of "International relations", "Country studies" and "International information", joint scientific events and scientific projects.
The first joint event - the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Polyculture and Diversity in the XXI Century" will be held at Ferenc Rakoci II Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute on March 27-28, 2018. Representatives of both universities are the co-organizers of the scientific event. The next meeting will take place in Krakow on April 21, 2018, as part of the trip of the faculty and students to Poland.
