Carpathian Ukraine is 81
Dear Transcarpathians!
There are days of heroic grandeur and victory of spirit in the history of every nation, for which freedom and independence are the cornerstones of its statehood. March 15th is this kind of day for us, the residents of the Silver Land. On this day, our ancestors’ eternal aspirations to live in their own independent Ukrainian state were realized in the town of Khust with the proclamation of the independent Carpathian Ukraine on March 15, 1939.
Although it was a short-lived state, it is impossible to overestimate the significance of its proclamation for our national and historical progress, the revival and establishment of Ukrainian statehood. As it is impossible to overestimate the feat of its defenders – the fighters of Carpathian Sich, most of whom gave their lives in Krasne Pole (the Red Field) heroically defending their state, as their grandchildren defend Ukraine against the Russian occupiers today.
Eternal glory to the founders and defenders of Carpathian Ukraine!
Glory to its Heroes!
