A new dean and heads of some departments have been elected in UzhNU
A new dean of the Faculty of Law and Heads of some university Departments have been elected at the Session of the Academic Council of UzhNU today. The meeting was attended by 64 delegates which was enough for the quorum. A total of 20 competition files have been presented. The Returning Board consisting of 7 people counted the votes.
Two candidates (Yaroslav Lazur and Vasyl Lemak) applied for the position of the Dean of the Faculty of Law. As a result, Yaroslav Lazur was elected by 45 votes, 15 people voted for Vasyl Lemak and 4 ballots were invalidated.
Members of the Academic Council appointed the Heads of two Departments of the Faculty of Mathematics. Vasyl Marynets became the Head of the Department of Differential Equations and Mathematical Physics and Petro Slyusarchuk became the Head of the Department of Theory of Probability and Mathematical Analysis.
Khystyna Zykan was appointed the Head of the Hungarian Philology Department.
Of the two candidates for the post of the Head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work - Fedir Shandor and Oleksandr Pelin – the first one was elected.
Henceforth the Department of Business Law will be headed by Vasyl Yarema, and the Department of Computer Systems and Networks by Ivan Korol.
The Department of Inorganic Chemistry is headed by Yevhen Peresh. Mykola Vehesh is now a professor of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration.
7 university researchers have been awarded the ranks of Associate Professors.
