The Lublin Coworking Space of UzhNU and UMCS – a platform for international cooperation
In accordance with the Cooperation Agreement between UzhNU and the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS), with the support of Rectors Prof. Volodymyr Smolanka and Prof. Radosław Dobrowolski, a Ukrainian-Polish coworking session on the development of dual education and double-degree programs was held in Lublin, Republic of Poland.
The Institute’s experts, Professors Yulia Halynska and Volodymyr Prykhodko (Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Electronics, UzhNU), Mariusz Hoffman (Faculty of Economics, UMCS), Associate Professor Vladislav Peresolyak (Faculty of Geography, UzhNU), and PhDs Lyudmila Teplova (Faculty of Management, Economics, and Business, UzhNU) and Yaroslav Banas (Faculty of Economics, UMCS), the concept and practical components of a dual education project for master’s students in project management and investment development of local communities were developed and agreed upon; opportunities for training specialists in the circular economy within the framework of the Erasmus+ program and postgraduate education in cooperation with business entities were explored.
The project initiators took an active part in organizing and running the coworking event: on the Ukrainian side, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Ivan Hrytsak, Dean of the Faculty of International Economic Relations, and Professor Mykola Palinchak, Chair of the Scientific Council of the Institute; on the Polish side, UMCS Vice-Rector Professor Zbigniew Pastuszak and Head of the International Student Affairs Office Karolina Sokolinska, M.A.
The Lublin coworking initiative involving faculty members from UzhNU and UMCS is becoming a permanent and effective platform for international academic cooperation between Ukrainian and Polish scholars. The Institute of Public Administration and Regional Development will continue to be an active participant in this initiative.
