The 'Startup Center at Uzhhorod National University' has been established with the aim of supporting the scientific developments of students, postgraduates, and young researchers. It involves the creation of research groups by them to address current scientific issues and the formation of a creative generation of young scholars at the university.

The main tasks and functions of the UzhNU Startup Center are:

- involvement of university specialists and teachers, business representatives, influential public organizations in the implementation of events that will promote intellectual and creative cooperation of students and scientists in the field of developing innovative startup projects using modern information technologies;

- search for opportunities to create scientific-methodical and information centers compatible with organizations, providing consultations and opportunities for cooperation regarding access to educational materials, software, and developments;

- creation of favorable conditions/environment for experimental research;

- provision of technical and software information and technological resources for joint work of startup teams, formation and development of business skills;

- introduction of regular trainings/visiting conferences, seminars/scientific picnics to demonstrate developments in practice;

- provision of informational and legal support during the implementation of strategy-activity at the appropriate levels;

- organization and holding of the annual Contest of innovative ideas "Startup-UzhNU" among students, graduate students and scientists studying or working at UzhNU, in accordance with the regulations on the Contest of innovative ideas "Startup-UzhNU" approved by the rector's order.
