Training" Implementation of new standards and technologies for surgical treatment of central nervous system diseases in cross-border region"
On Saturday, February 26, the professional cross-border training for neurosurgeons took place for the second time. It was organized within the project «Implementation of new standards and technologies for surgical treatment of central nervous system diseases in cross-border region» HUSKROUA/1901/8.2/0074. Representatives of University of Debrecen (Hungary) and Uzhhorod National University covered such topics:
Emanuel Okoro. Concept of awake neurosurgical procedures of eloquent zones aided by an aphasiologist
Gabor Fekete: Different aspects of deep brain stimulation in the treatment of extrapyramidal disorders
David Horsai. Follow up investigations in premature babies with post hemorrhagic hydrocephalus
Nandor Orosz. Surgical treatment of craniosynostoses
Dorottya Juhasz. Diagnosis and surgical treatment of Chiari malformations
The online event has been organized with the aim of experience exchange between partner organizations, as well as for educational purposes for the students involved. Doctors also discussed several approaches to surgery and treatment of several non-standard cases in neurosurgery.
It will be recalled that the project aims to purchase a neuronavigation system for the neurosurgical departments of both partners, share experiences and publish joint scientific work.
The project is financed by the European Union through European Neighborhood Instrument, Joint Operational Programme Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine.
