Professional Development through the Baltic University Programme
Last year, Hanna Ihorivna Melehanych, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development and Associate Professor in the Department of International Studies and Public Communications, was selected to participate in the Baltic University Programme’s training for sustainable development educators. The training began in October of last year and concludes in March of this year on a dedicated online platform, but also included two workshops. The first took place in October 2024 at the University of Turku in Finland. On March 13–14, the second workshop took place at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin as part of the training. The workshop brought together representatives from seven countries in the region, representing various disciplines, but all committed to implementing the concept of sustainable development into the educational process. Everyone shared their successes and progress in implementing change projects at their universities.

The Baltic University Program is one of the largest university cooperation programs in the world, involving over 110 universities in the Baltic Sea region that collaborate in education and research in the fields of sustainable development and democracy.
