Know-hows for effective Schengen border management were discussed at an international conference at UzhNU
Uzhhorod National University hosted an international conference "Sharing know-hows for effective management of Schengen border between Slovakia and Ukraine, Norway and Russia" organized due to the financial support of Norwegian grants and the state budget of the Slovak Republic. The conference opened the project of the same name.
A welcome speech was given by a Vice-Rector of UzhNU Myroslava Lendel who stressed the relevance of the event: "We are delighted to welcome all guests to our university. Transcarpathia borders on several countries and establishing cross-border relationship with them is extremely important. I emphasize that we want the laws and rules of crossing the state border to be observed by everyone for our own safety".
Yana Dvoretska came to welcome the participants of the meeting on behalf of the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Uzhhorod: "We are extremely pleased to participate in the opening of this large-scale project. Of course, we support it in all areas. Slovakia supports the development of closer cross-border cooperation, which has been encouraged by various projects for a long time".
