Before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the language issue in Ukraine was central to the geopolitical plans of Russian politicians. One of these plans was to use manipulative technologies to create a new artificial language and a new people in Zakarpattia. Threatening trends towards the disintegration of the Ukrainian ethnic and linguistic space were becoming increasingly apparent, so the Molnar Research Institute under the leadership of L. Beley implemented seven research projects funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, including the last two that directly exposed the dangerous nature of manipulative technologies and pseudo-scientific discourses aimed at undermining the integrity of the Ukrainian ethno-linguistic space:
."Modern onomasticon of Ukraine and national, social and legal specifics of its reproduction", DB-657, state registration number 0107U001179
."Ecolinguistic aspect of the interaction of language and its speakers in the renewed social environment", DB-712, state registration number 0109U000870
."Socio-cultural and aesthetic conditionality of the new Ukrainian literary and artistic onomasticon", DB-753, state registration number 0110U002523
."Transformation of Ukrainian and Slovak onomastikons in the post-totalitarian period" M/36-2008, state registration 0108U005795
."Ukrainian onomastikon and propria of national minorities of Ukraine: problems of interaction, codification and reproduction by means of the state language" DB-825, state registration number 0113U002539
."Neo-Rusynism as a disintegration threat to the unity of the Ukrainian ethnic space: cultural and historical aspect", F 67/12-2016825, state registration number 0116U002855
."Rusyn language" as a sociolinguistic technology of disintegration of the Ukrainian-speaking space". DB-864, state registration number 0116U004789
