Young scientists of UzhNU participated in an international conference in Kosice
On Friday, May 11, 2017 a delegation of young scientists of UzhNU took part in the international conference "Actual problems of theory and practice of politics and international relations" held in Kosice (Slovakia). This is a traditional conference. This year the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of UzhNU also participated in its organization together with Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice.
The conference was attended by scientists from Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary and Poland. The reports presented at the conference dealt with the topical issues of today, including the migration crisis, ethno-political conflicts, the growth of far-right and populist movements, etc. Uzhhorod National University was represented by Yulia Raichynets Ingrid Matsko and Oleksiy Shafranyosh.
Yulia Raichynets and Ingrid Matsko presented their joint report on the spread of right-wing and radical-right populist parties in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. Oleksiy Shafranyosh described the use of counterculture experience of the 60s of the twentieth century in the activity of contemporary youth movements.
