Uzhhorod National University and the NGO ''Proektna 3'' Recycling Station signed a memorandum of cooperation
Given the importance and relevance of consolidating efforts to ensure sustainable regional and local development of the region and recognising the need to preserve and improve the environment, on Tuesday, 6 June, Uzhhorod National University and the NGO ''Proektna 3'' Recycling Station'' signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The purpose of the Memorandum is to comprehensively and purposefully promote the implementation of state programmes and investment projects in the region, regional and local development of territories and communities of Zakarpattia, further strengthening and implementation of reforms, preservation of natural resources and the environment based on European principles and approaches, on the platform of combining organisational, managerial, educational, methodological, informational and other resources of the signatories of the Memorandum.
In the process of signing the memorandum, the Rector of UzhNU Volodymyr Smolanka and the Chairman of the Board of the ''Proektna 3'' Recycling Station Ruslan Shvarts identified the main areas and tasks of interaction, coordination and cooperation that will be implemented in the near future. Prof. Volodymyr Smolanka notes: "This cooperation is really important for us, as it involves many concrete steps, including the collection and sorting of paper, glass and plastic. And it is not only of practical importance to us, as people who live in this region and want to see it clean, but also of spiritual importance, as we are educating the younger generation, which must learn to realise the value of improving the environmental state of the planet."
