Incunabula collection of the Scientific Library of UzhNU was recommended for inclusion in the National Heritage Register

Today members of the Academic Council of UzhNU have unanimously supported the decision to apply to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for the inclusion of the collection of manuscripts and incunabula of the Scientific Library of UzhNU in the State register of scientific objects of national heritage.

Thus, the preparation of a set of necessary documents has been started.

"If incunabula are included in this register, it will be one of the steps on the way of obtaining the research university status by UzhNU. As required by law, the university must possess an object of national heritage", - said the Rector of UzhNU Volodymyr Smolanka at the Academic Council session. Leading experts of relevant research institutions of Ukraine will be invited to give proper evaluation of the collections of manuscripts and incunabula.
