The anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 was marked in Uzhhorod
On Monday, October 23rd, the events that took place in Budapest 61 years ago, when the Hungarian revolutionaries rebelled against the Moscow-born puppet regime, were marked in Uzhhorod. On this occasion, the Minister of Justice of Hungary, László Trócsányi, arrived in the regional center of Transcarpathia.
Accompanied by the Consul General of Hungary in Uzhhorod, Jozhef Buhajlo, the Minister visited Uzhhorod National University. The Rector of UzhNU Professor Volodymyr Smolanka, the Director of the Ukrainian-Hungarian Educational Institute Oleksandr Shpenyk, teachers and students welcomed the Honorary Doctor of UzhNU in the premises of the Institute. There was a friendly conversation about further development of the partnership in the area of education and science between Ukraine and Hungary and the expansion of cross-border cooperation. The Doctor of Law László Trócsányi invited the Rector of UzhNU Volodymyr Smolanka to visit one of the leading universities of Hungary, located in Szeged, and establish cooperation between two well-known universities of Central Europe. The proposal was gratefully accepted.
