UzhNU volleyball players are the champions of the regional competition among university students
Volleyball is one of the favorite sports at Uzhhorod National University. The Department of physical training of our university pays a lot of attention to its development. It is not surprising that the university volleyball team is traditionally the strongest in the region. Our athletes have proven this once again in the regional volleyball competition among male university students.
The volleyball tournament was held on December 3, 2015 in the sports and recreation complex of UzhNU. 6 teams participated in it, they competed in two subgroups: the teams of University "Ukraine" from Khust, Uzhhorod Trade and Economics Institute and Transcarpathian Art Institute played in the first subgroup; the teams of UzhNU, Mukachevo State University and F.Rakotsi Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute from Berehovo played in the second one.
The winners of the games in their subgroups, namely the team of Uzhhorod Trade and Economics Institute and the team of UzhNU played for the victory in the final of the championship. Under the guidance of an experienced coach Kateryna Shevchenko, a lecturer of the Department of physical education our boys demonstrated great skills and confidently defeated their opponents with the score 25:8 and 25:9. The third place was taken by the students of Mukachevo State University who beat the team of University "Ukraine".
