UzhNU took part in the celebration of the Days of Uzhhorod

The celebration of the 1125th anniversary of the foundation of Uzhhorod began on Teatralna square with the presentation of Uzhhorod National University. Vice-rector for academic affairs Ihor Korol said: "We signed a memorandum of cooperation with Uzhhorod City Council. As part of this cooperation, we carry out a lot of activities. Last year UzhNU also participated in the celebrations of the Days of the city, and this year we expanded our program and made it more interesting. Today we presented our faculties, our students organized a charity fair. All the proceeds from the fair will be spent to support boarding schools. We are ready to tell more about our faculties and the details of the admission campaign to pupils and their parents. I think it will be interesting!"

Everyone who came to Teatralna square could see something interesting, or enjoy some delicious food. The Faculty of Physics organized a demonstration of physical processes and phenomena, and also presented the basic courses on cybersecurity of the Cisco Networking Academy at the Department of Solid-state Electronics and Information Security.

Maryana Sabadosh, a senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Rehabilitation of the Faculty of Health and Physical Education, demonstrated an electric stimulator SO 4.0 that is used by athletes for massage, fitness, and rehabilitation of muscles. She also demonstrated a Kinesio taping method of treatment.

 Students of the Faculty of Biology invited their guests to observe various microorganisms under the microscope. Representatives of the Faculty of Mathematics and the Engineering Faculty presented the developments of robotics. Students of the Faculty of Chemistry demonstrated various chemical reactions to viewers.

 The youngest guests, schoolchildren of Uzhhorod schools, painted on Whatman paper and asphalt, made origami boats and planes and assembled jigsaw puzzles. Students of Medical Faculty №2 presented mehendi body art.
