Professor Ioan- Mircea Farkas was awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of UzhNU
The title “Doctor honoris causa of Uzhhorod National University” was awarded to Ioan-Mircea Farkas, Professor, Doctor of Philology, for his personal scientific achievements in dialectology, sociolinguistics, modern Romanian, semantics and language history, for his contribution to the development of Uzhhorod National University, as well as for expanding cooperation between educational institutions of Romania and Ukraine.
Ioan-Mircea Farkas is a Doctor of Philology, Professor at the Faculty of Literature of the North University Center of Baia Mare, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. On the initiative of Ioan-Mircea Farkas, the journal European Socio-Legal and Humanitarian Studies was founded in Romania. The scientific publication is indexed by the Index Copernicus scientometric database. Scientists of Uzhhorod National University have the opportunity to publish their articles in it.
