The Council of Young Scientists is a voluntary association based on the common interests of postgraduate students, young scientists and employees of the State Higher Educational Institution "Uzhgorod National University".
The Council of Young Scientists operates on the principles of voluntariness, collegiality, openness, and on public grounds.
The purpose of the Council of Young Scientists is to represent and protect the interests of scientific youth in the professional sphere, to promote the organization and conduct of scientific research, as well as the exchange of information between young scientists and researchers.
The activities of the Council of Young Scientists are regulated by the Constitution of Ukraine and the laws of Ukraine, resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, acts of the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Statute of the UzhNU University of Applied Sciences, as well as the Regulations on the Council of Young Scientists of the Uzhhorod National University Uzhhorod National University (approved by the Conference of the Labor Team of the Uzhhorod National University "UzhNU" on January 29, 2015).
The main tasks are:
- advisory support in matters of scientific research activities of graduate students, young scientists, employees of the UzhNU University of Applied Sciences, as well as students active in scientific work, aimed at securing young scientific personnel at the university;
- promoting the establishment of professional contacts and cultural ties with other domestic and foreign educational and scientific institutions;
- dissemination of scientific and other information;
- promoting the involvement of young scientists in participation in competitions of scientific works, the formation of collectives of young scientists for the implementation of promising scientific projects;
- performing the role of a representative body for the protection of the rights of scientific youth before the administration of a higher educational institution and other organizations on issues of scientific work and academic career development.
