The Department of Software Systems was founded in September 1996. At that time, it was a part of the Faculty of Informatics, and it was called the Department of Physics and Mathematics Disciplines. In 2005, the department was reorganized into the Department of Software of Automated Systems and Physics and Mathematics Disciplines. In the same year, it became the graduating department of the “Software of Automated Systems” specialty at the educational and qualification levels of “bachelor”, “specialist’’ and “master”. After the 2011 reorganization of the faculty, it was renamed the Department of Software Systems.

Buledza Andriy – Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (Ph. D.), Associate Professor, Professor of the Department (01.09.1996 – 31.12.1998)

Laver Oleksandr – Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (Ph. D.), Associate Professor, Professor of the Department (1.01.1999 – 7.01.2009)

Vashchuk Fedir – Doctor of Engineering Science, Full Professor (8.01.2009 – 28.02.2014)

Holovach Yozhef – Doctor of Engineering Science, Full Professor (01.09.2014 – 17.04.2018)

Bilak Yuriy – Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (Ph. D.), Associate Professor (18.04.2018 – until now)
