Holomb Roman Mykhailovych – Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor оf the Department, author of more than 150 scientific and methodological works, and co-author of three collective monographs. He has extensive experience in structural modeling and first-principle parallel calculations using computational clusters, as well as in experimental Raman and synchrotron-photoelectron spectroscopy of condensed matter. He is the head and executor of numerous international grants and projects.

Photonic chalcogenide media for ultrafast optical processing and information transmission, ionic liquids for Li-ion power sources, development of spectroscopic methods for detecting single-nucleotide polymorphisms and identifying DNA sequences.
