UzhNU scientists won 6 new international projects in 2019, expected amount of grants exceeds 1 million euro
In his speech at the meeting of the Professional Staff of UzhNU, the Rector of the university, Volodymyr Smolanka said that the scientists of UzhNU had won 6 new international projects in 2019. The duration of the projects is 24 months, and the expected total amount of grants is more than 1 million euro.
At the end of 2019, UzhNU was actively cooperating with 118 foreign partners. In particular, 19 international bilateral agreements, 8 agreements on the implementation of international projects and 8 agreements on Erasmus+ academic mobility programmes support were concluded in 2019.
The membership of SHEI “UzhNU” in international associations such as Magna Charta Universitetum, Danube Rectors’ Conference, European University Association, and International Consortium of Universities is extremely important for the integration of UzhNU in the European scientific environment.
Semester long training and dual degree programmes for students have also become systematic. Students of the Faculties of Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Information Technology have the opportunity to study under the dual diploma programmes at such European universities as Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania), Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk (Poland), Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (Slovakia), and School of Economics and Management of Public Administration in Bratislava (Slovakia).
