UzhNU has been awarded an influential quality label for the implementation of international volunteer initiatives and is looking for volunteers for a project in Poland
Recently, Uzhhorod National University has been awarded the Quality Label in Volunteering, which provides us with the opportunity to participate in volunteer projects under the European Solidarity Corps program together with foreign partners.
The European Solidarity Corps is the new European Union initiative which creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe. It’s aim is to promote solidarity in the European society by involving young people and organizations in accessible and high-quality solidarity activities.
Volunteering covers a wide range of areas, such as environmental protection, climate change mitigation and social inclusion. It does not include activities that are part of training programs in formal education institutions and training systems, or emergency response activities.
Meanwhile, the Polish partner of Uzhhorod National University, the Association of Projects "INPRO", is already looking for two motivated candidates from Ukraine to participate in the project "Summer Adventure in Poland". The volunteers can get involved in the following activities:
- organizing workshops for local youngsters, open events such as country presentations or language cafe's,
- organizing intercultural weekend picnic at the end of the project (final event)
- delivering workshops about culture, human rights, youth opportunities, volunteering
- helping us with administrative works in the office
- working with media, photography, film
- volunteers can write articles, take pictures from our events, lead our social media, creating promo videos, movie recaps from our projects, etc
- initiating own projects.
Therefore, we invite all interested volunteers to take part in this project, it should be noted that there is not much time left, because registration is held until 7.06.2020.
