The multimedia 3D anatomical table Anatomage has become part of the preparation for medical students at UzhNU
Anatomage is an advanced medical tool that allows for real-time study of human anatomy. It is equipped with unique technology that enables the display of high-quality 3D models of body organs and virtual cross-sections.
After working with this equipment for several months, the teachers were able to appreciate the advantages and strengths of the ability to quickly switch between different layers and systems of the human body, demonstrate cross-sections in any plane, and generate visualizations of X-ray images in both normal and pathological conditions. The modern Anatomage table has found use not only in anatomy but also in other medical fields. For example, surgical instructors use it to demonstrate techniques and mechanisms for performing a lumbar puncture, while obstetric instructors use it to show the anatomical details of the fetus and the process of childbirth.
Anatomage helps medical students increase their knowledge and develop skills in real-time, enabling them to be prepared for real medical situations. This instrument becomes an invaluable assistant for medical students, increasing their ability to make an accurate diagnosis and develop effective treatment plans.
We sincerely thank the Czech Development Agency for this valuable gift, which has become an integral part of the educational process for our medical students. We also express our gratitude to the employees of this agency, Jan Pejřil and Michal Gelbič, whose good intentions and organizational efforts made this project possible. We are confident that the anatomical table will become an indispensable tool for training and developing new doctors.
