The Great Hall of UzhNU hosted a Ukrainian-Slovak business forum

A Ukrainian-Slovak Business Forum took place in the Great Hall of UzhNU on Monday, November 7, 2022. The event was timed to the meeting of the Ukrainian-Slovak intergovernmental commission and the visit of the Slovak delegation to Ukraine. It was organizeby the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine and the Slovak Agency for Investment and Trade Development with the support of the Transcarpathian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic.

 Representatives of Slovak and Ukrainian businesses took part in the business forum, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olga Stefanishyna addressed the participants of the forum with an online greeting. The opening of the forum was also attended by the Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic Karel Girman, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Yaroslav Demchenkov, State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic Yaroslav Kmet, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine Valeriy Korol, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Viktor Mykyta and others.

The main directions of cooperation in the field of restoration of Ukraine, energy sector, infrastructure, logistics and transport, scientific and technical cooperation, industrial complex and engineering, access to the EU market, humanitarian and medical aid were discussed at the event.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine and the Ukrainian-Slovak Development and Cooperation Council as part of the event,.
