Over 14 000 applications have been submitted to Uzhhorod National University this year
At 6pm on Saturday, August 22, 2020, the main stage of applying for admission to the university for a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree in medicine or pharmacy) and Master's degree was closed. According to Petro Horvat, Executive Secretary of Uzhhorod National University Admissions Committee, 14,103 applications for admission from various categories of entrants have been submitted to Uzhhorod National University during 18 days. They include 11,093 applications on the basis of complete comprehensive secondary education, 405 applications submitted by college graduates and 2,605 applications submitted for the Master's degree programmes on the basis of a Bachelor's (Master's) degree and the educational and qualification level of a specialist. Applications for non-budgetary proposals for part-time study can be submitted until September 11 and applications for further higher education from bachelors, specialists, masters and students are accepted until September 4.
Commenting on the data provided by the admissions committee, the Rector of Uzhhorod National University, Volodymyr Smolanka, noted that the number of applications submitted this year was higher compared to the previous one. "In particular, on August 22, we received by 1,800 applications for obtaining a Bachelor's degree on the basis of complete comprehensive secondary education more than last year. Representatives of all regions of Ukraine and districts of Transcarpathia are among those wishing to study at Uzhhorod National University, it confirms the good reputation of the university in the country. Graduates of foreign schools are also among the entrants to UzhNU.
The next step is the formation of ranking lists of the entrants, providing recommendations for enrollment and publication of the lists of recommended for study at the expense of the government budget is expected no later than at 12:00 on August 27. For those who did not have time to apply for training at the expense of individuals and / or legal entities, we open the second session of submitting applications and documents in September-October.”
