Co-working space for IDPs has been opened at UzhNU

Co-working space for IDPs has been opened at UzhNU

A co-working space for internally displaced persons has started operating at the scientific library of Uzhhorod National University. The project was developed by the team of UzhNU volunteers and funded by the Carpathian Foundation of Ukraine and a group of foreign enterpreneurs.

"This event improved everyone’s mood for the coming week. Of course, I am grateful to the volunteers of UzhNU for finding the opportunity to finance the project aimed at supporting IDPs. This is the place where they can study and work using modern technologies. I am grateful to the library staff, who are among the first to support the university's progressive steps. After all, free access to the world library is currently a trend. Therefore, co-working space will be the first step towards free and fast access to global information," says the rector of UzhNU Volodymyr Smolanka.

"I am grateful to the volunteers of UzhNU and the management of the university for the excellent work they are doing to support IDPs. It is important that this is not a one-time action, but a long-term project. We are really pleased to work with the organizations oriented towards the future and are able to carry out complex and long-term projects," says Ruslan Zhylenko, the director of the Carpathian Foundation.
