The Department of Tourist Infrastructure and Hotel and Restaurant Management was established on the basis of the Department of Tourist Infrastructure and Service in 2019 as a structural unit of the Faculty of Tourism and International Communications.

The strategic goal of educational and scientific activity of the department of tourist infrastructure and hotel and restaurant economy is the formation of a new highly cultured and educated generation of qualified specialists of the hotel and restaurant industry.

In modern conditions, a combination of theory and practice is important in the training of hospitality professionals. The bases of students' educational practices are hotel and restaurant complexes of Transcarpathia, Central and Eastern Europe (Slovakia, Poland, Turkey).

During the existence of the Department of Tourist Infrastructure and Hotel and Restaurant Management, teachers have published scientific articles on the hotel and restaurant business, prepared manuals and scientific and methodological recommendations, took part in international conferences.

Today there are two doctors of sciences working at the department: the head of the department, professor Korsak Roman Volodymyrovych, prof. Kolisnyk Halyna Mykolayivna, and six candidates of sciences: candidates of economic sciences, associate professor Godya Ivan Mykhailovych, Sichka Ivan Ivanovych, Kish Halyna Viktorivna, Popyk Maryana Mykhailivna, Sira Evelina Oleksandrivna and Svitlynets Olga Volodymyrivna, senior lecturer Koval Oleksandr Dmydrovych and Nossa teacher Furtiy Volodymyr Volodymyrovych and assistant Reblyan Antonina Murativna.

The department provides teaching disciplines of the cycle of professional and practical training of students in the field of knowledge 24 "Sphere of service" in the following specialties:

• 241 "Hotel and restaurant business" at the first educational level "Bachelor";
• 241 "Hotel and restaurant business" at the second educational level "Master";
• 242 "Tourism" at the first educational level "Bachelor";
• 242 "Tourism" at the second educational level "Master".
